Verve Gallery Exhibition Opening

Verve Gallery of Photography in Santa Fe is showing part of my traveling exhibit 'Haunted by a Painter's Ghost' from March 19 through May 8 2010.

The Opening Reception is from 5-7 pm on 19th March.
Also showing in the exhibition are the photographers Douglas Etheridge and Mark Citret who will both be giving a Gallery Talk on March 20 between 2-4 pm.

LensWork Special Editions Folio Released

Fifteen of my images have been published as a LensWork Special Editions Folio using Epson's K3 Ultrachrome inks on  Hahnemuhle Photo Rag fiberbase paper. Click on the image to see a detailed preview as well as pricing and ordering information.

Xto Nude Image Award

I am pleased to announce that I have been awarded first place in the Digitally Enhanced section of the inaugural Xto Nude Image Awards for a portfolio of five images from my 2000/01 'symbolist' nude series.

The prize is an invitation to exhibit in the Xto Winners group show at the Farmani Gallery in DUMBO, NYC in early July and an opportunity to win the $2000 Grand Prize which will be awarded to one of the exhibiting artists at the reception on the opening night, July 9.

Winners were chosen from among more than 1,000 pieces of work submitted from 53 countries.

Xto Nude Image Awards offers photographers and illustrators from around the world the opportunity to submit their work and be judged by respected editors, publishers, curators, gallery owners, art collectors, consultants, creative directors and art directors. Xto’s mission is to acknowledge and promote visual artists whose work is primarily inspired by the human form.

Traversing the Orient

This month's issue of Traversing The Orient (May 2009) has a thirteen page feature on my work accompanied by a transcription of part of the interview I made with LensWork Publishing editor Brooks Jensen in early 2007.
TTO editor Ben Hopkins features the work of a different photographer each month with the laudable aim of giving prominence to the imagery. Four of the photographs used in the article have been printed across two pages which is a generous donation of magazine space.
The article includes three newer images which are published for the first time.
